Alhur: The Free Ones takes you inside the lives of a family of Iraqi refugees who fled their home country because of violence and fear.
In 2006, the two sons Sarmed and Samer got caught in an explosion outside of their home in Baghdad. Both were injured. That's when Suhell, their father, decided it was time to leave. The family packed what they could and went to Syria, then arranged for resettlement in the United States. Now, they live in Indianapolis and they are trying to adjust to a new culture in a new country.
